The figure shown below is an equilateral triangle. What is the number of units in the perimeter of the triangle?

Step One:4x-16=2x+8
Step Two:(group like terms) 4x-2x=8+16
Step Three:2x=24
Step Four:x=24÷2
Step Five: x = 12
